Ruwang Collective Arts has taken an initiative to screen films in remote areas of Chittagong Hill Tracts. With the aim to create a connection with films and rural people and bring the big screens to the community, we have already showcased in two different villages, one in Tripura village and another in Mro village under Lama upazila of Bandarban Hill District, CHT. People, including children, were extremely excited to see Charlie Chaplin’s 100 Years old movie “City Lights”. It was their first time meeting Charlie Chaplin. We also projected Kokborok (Tripura) film in the Tripura village called Dushari Para.

We intend to organize more creative activities in the community including film screening in different areas in this region and beyond.
